Project Manager (six month contract)

Location: Hatfield, Hertfordshire
Reports to: Head of Production

Job specification

TRMG is seeking a talented Project Manager to join our production team. They must be a self-starter and ready to work in a fast-paced publishing environment.
The successful candidate will lead the production of printed magazines and digital publications across TRMG’s portfolio of Souvenir Event Programmes, Show Guides, Membership Magazines and B2B titles in industry sectors such as; motorsport, food & drink, marine and fashion amongst others.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our production team based in our office in Hatfield. There may be the option to extend the contract beyond the initial term of six months.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of projects, from initiation to delivery of finished pages to print

• Act as main point of communication for all aspects of the project

• Create and manage project flatplans

• Ensure all project deadlines are met

• Sourcing editorial copy from contributors

• Sub-editing supplied copy

• Write and communicate design briefs

• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

• Working closely with the sales team to maximise revenue opportunities

• Attend client meetings

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with some global brands, expand their Project Management experience and develop their career in publishing.

Skills required

• Excellent organisation and time management skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Experience of print & digital production

• Ability to manage change requests and remain flexible

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Remain calm even when under pressure

• Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator

• Commercial awareness

Previous Project Management experience preferable and a Degree level or relevant qualification desirable.
